B.R.O constructed the a bridge on Shubansiri river in Daporijo District of Arunachal Pradesh. Innaugeratd by honorable Chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Mr. Prem khandu on April 20, 2020.
It’s a 430 feet long bridge made in Record 27 Days amid the nationwide lockdown & keeping in consideration social distancing & other health related guidelines issued by the authority.
It’s a Class-40 bridge in comparison to previous one which wa s a Class-24 which means it can facilitate the movement of 40 tonnes through it which makes the deployment of troops and heavy machinery like Vajra-k9 self propelled Howitzer & BMP-2 saarath along the line of actual control with China to maintain a prevailing upperhand on them.
Dedicated to Havaldar Hangpan Dada A.C(Asaam regiment) who laid down his life in 2016 during anti-insurgency operation in Kupwara,J&K & was subsequently awarded nation’s highest peace time gallantry award the Ashok chakra for his exemplary bravery and Courage.
It is developed under ARUNANK project of B.R.O which is aims at improving logistics and connectivity with borders of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
