Indian Army Structure
· It is an overview of how Indian Army Works.
- Indian Army is headed by Chief of Army Staff with General Rank. Army Headquarter is in Delhi.
Then Sub divided as follows,
Ø Corps – Commanded by Lieutenant General, they have 3-4 divisions under them.
Ø Division – Commanded by Major General, they have 3-4 Brigades under them to control.
Ø Brigade – Commanded by Brigadier, they have 3-4 Battalions under them.
Ø Battalion / Regiment – Commanded by Colonel, they have 4 Rifle companies under them.
Ø Rifle Company – Commanded by Lieutenant Colonel or Major, they have 3 platoons under them.
Ø Platoon – Commanded by JCO, they have 3 section under them.
Ø Section – Commanded by Havildar, they have 10 members under them.
