BE LOUD AND PROUD !

विकृतिः एवम्‌ प्रकृतिः

(virkrti evam prakriti)

Which means “What Seems Un-natural is Also Natural” -Rigveda

(You will get to know what it exactly means by the end of the article.)

    • So, earlier back in 1861, section 377 of Indian penal court (IPC) makes sexual activities “against the order of nature “punishable by law and carries a life sentences. the law replaced variety of punishments but not lesbian act. In september 2006, nobel laureate Amartya sen and the other prominent Indians come to blow against section 377 of Indian penal court (IPC) . AND IN 2018 . History was made , on 6 september 2018  .The supreme court of India delivered a landmark judgement, sanction a 157 year old british-era-law that criminalised even consensual homosexual relations.

IT IS NO LONGER  A CRIMINAL OFFENCE TO BE A GAY,LESBIAN OR TRANSGENDER IN INDIA !

Lesbian , gay, bisexual, and transgender over the past of decade have gain more toloerence and acceptance  in India espicially in urban areas. STILL ……YES STILL   they face discrimination ,from familiy , friends  and colleagues , who might see homosexuality as shameful. Discrimination is still present in rural areas. People  in the  LGBT  community are still fighting for equal rights and acceptance .Being from LGBT community is not a “problem” , nor it is a “choice” as such. ARTICLE 15 of our indian constitution prohibits discrimination on ground of religion , race, ,caste , sex or place of birth. If we, people are getting such rights ,WHY not  a person who belongs to LGBT community. It’s  not about religion,it’s only and only about HUMMANITY. If we talk about religion as per Hindu aspects , lord Rama had given a boon to Hijras (The transgender community) for their loyality .That’s why their blessings means alot to people. I think everyone who’s living in this world has equal rights to live in this society with full respect . We are the only one who makes society .we people can only change the entire mechanism of society by just changing our mindsets….. because everything starts with us (you). There are 2.5 millions (approx 25 lakhs)  people who belongs to LGBT  COMMUNITY ,and many of these people suffers from mental health and commits suicide just because of societies pressure as they are not getting their basic rights and acceptance for their existence in the community. I will finish off  with one question that how many more lives will it take to understand that society is made of human beings of all kinds and the rights of belongingness is not just for “men or women”but rather for every living creature that breathes ON THIS EARTH…?

THANK YOU

  1. Great thought ,I appreciate your thinking towards LGBT ,but u know these writings won’t affect much in this cruel world ,after reading such a beautiful thought for once they will think yeah we should treat them equally no more discrimination and all . But somewhere in there mind there is typical mindset for LGBT community of ignoring them ,discrimating them and a lot..
So my suggestion to them rather than believing , that the society will to anything you all guys should think yourself that how you can reform you community by yourself , because in this cruel world no one cares whether you also need some change in your living standards ,you also need equality, everyone see you as respected human. Government have all door open for you all u need to bang the door and ask for your part of respect in all terms and see how respect fully will become entire LGBT community.

I thank you for your appreciation but i disagree that writing cannot help, its a first step towards any revolution and regarding government’s door, it’s their responsibility to always keep the door open so these people wouldn’t have to go such trouble in banging to get their rights.

  2. You have put your views very nicely into this article because speaking for someone who is being oppressed is the best thing you can do in your life.
