In order to help you achieve your dream of being an officer in the armed forces of the country, I have brought a new initiative. Every day I will be providing you with some assignment in the telegram channel (https://t.me/thessbprep).

As mentioned earlier, we will be publishing the daily assignment over here. You should submit your answers in the comment box below. Submit your answers within 12 hours of the class, otherwise the answers submitted will not be evaluated. I prefer quality over quantity, and thus I am putting this restriction.

    SAARC (South Asia Association Regional corporation) which was founded on 8 December 1985. Total 8 countries are the members of this association & its headquarter is in Kathmandu.This organisation works on economic development, welfare of people and self reliance of regional countries.This all members contribute 21% world population with 3% world area and 4.5% world economy.

    They have already been signed up the free trade agreement among them. Pakistan is also member of this organisation due to which their is always a restriction from India to work with this organisation.

    Recently PM of India Mr. Narendra Modi called upon virtual meeting for tackling the covid 19 pendamic, in which they collectively rise the fund where 10 million us dollars contribution from India has given. They made plan for tackling and collaberative work in medical facilities and vaccine development.

    Role of India in SAARC always been a significant because of its wide economy and majority contribution among them. India always supported the nation development with plan and economic support for their welfare.

    1. The answer can mention the challenges that the SAARC faces as an organisation. Pakistan is one of the major challenges, but that is not all. The summary can be improved. Also mention the important shift that India is making towards the BIMSTEC. Keep writing.

  2. “BRICS” a group of five emerging national economics i.e
    Brazil , Russia, India , China and South Africa.
    Initial it was BRIC only .
    South Africa as a guest country added in 10th BRIC summit .
    It was founded in 2006 and headquarters is in SHANGHAI China .
    The main purpose is to cooperate between the member nation for development provide financial assistance, support various projects and infrastructure, not only to member nation other than it also support

    State leader is the chairperson of hosting nation .like India prime Minister modi.
    India as a member of it hosted twice first one in 2012 and second 2016 ,.
    Last time brics 11th summit took place in Nov 2019 in Brazil .
    This year 12th brics summit will be held in Russia and it will be hosted by Vladimir Putin.

    1. You can also mention the key steps like the NDB (New Development Bank), which has been created to challenge the Westminster institutions. Similarly, Discuss how BRICS has been gaining relevance in the realm of India and China growing to the status of a superpower, and Russia gaining back its strength. Overall good attempt.     G20 is a group of 19 countries plus a eEuropea Union combinel 20 members.This is an International forum for governments and central bank governor’s.The founder of G20 is Group of seven it was established on September 1999.
    It’s aim is to discuss the particular situation and promotion of international financial stability also to bring together systematically important industrialized and developing economies for discussing global economy.
    Every year it appoints a leader country which will lead G20 throughout the year and it will arrange the summit for the year.
    The hosting of summits is done by chair rotation method. 5 groups are made including 4 in each group and 3 in last group . Europian Union is excluded. India is in group 2.
    2019 summit was held in Japan 2020 summit will be hosted by Saudi Arabia as Salman of Saudi Arabia is leader in 2020 and Italy will be hosting summit 2021.
    G20 has expanded its agenda sinsce 2008 . therefore head of government and finance minister and foraign minister are included.G20 operates without any permanant staff.

    1. You have mentioned all the key aspects. However, you can discuss about the sherpa method. Notably, you can mention that Spain attends the meetings and yet is not a member of the G20. Similarly, discuss other key aspects like the recent conference on COVID-19 action. This will help you add a current affairs related dimension to the answer. Keep writing.

    SAARC ( south Asian association for regional cooperation .it is a regional intergovernmental organization and geopolitical union in South Asia . From end of 1970’s all the 7 countries came together and in 1980’s the idea was proposed by President of Bangladesh ‘zia ul rehman’ , after all the analyses and discussion between the countries finally the idea came into existence in the year 1985 in Dhaka and Secretariat is formed in Kathmandu, motto is deeper integration for peace and prosperity.
    SAARC has’ 8 ‘ member countries and ‘ 9’ observer member countries.

    First comes 8 member countries of SAARC : Bhutan , Bangladesh , India, Pakistan, Nepal , Sri Lanka, Maldives , Afghanistan ( joined in 2007)

    Next comes the 9 observer member countries : Australia , China , Myanmar , European Union, south Korea, Iran, Mauritius , us and Japan . These countries were not interested in the membership but was kept to tab on the activities and productive .

    SAARC law conference came into existence in 1991 in srilanka to provide a platform for discussion on issues and mutual interest to justice, legal reforms, good governance.

    Objectives: promote welfare, acceleration of economics growth, social progress , cultural development, opportunity to live, strength cooperation, self reliance.

    Achievements: south Asian free trade agreement (safta) , cultural cooperation, saarc satellite launch

    Outcomes : India Pakistan rivalry , interfere of China , no bilateral talks, lack of full fledged Democratic structure, unsuccessful of projects

    Next SAARC summit can be expected in 2020 Islamabad.

    stablished in 8 dec 1985.
    It is a regional and geopolitical organization and geopolitical union states in south Asia.
    it have 8 member countries named
    India, Afganistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan , Shri Lanka, Maldives.
    nd also have 9 observer countries i.e.
    Australia, China, Europe, Iran, Japan, Mauritius, Myanmar South Korea, UK and US.
    Organization promotes development of economic and regional integration.
    it launched the south Asian free trade area.
    it aims at increase people to people contact and sharing of information among the SAARC members.
    Because India and Pakistan have not good relations between them
    there are some boundaries issue and also militants issue and acts committed by Pakistani army at border.
    as Pakistan is run by its army nd isi so there are many issues related to trust.
    so INDIA is shifting towards BIMSTEC (Bay of Bangal Initiative for Multi Sectoral Technical & Economic Cooperation)
    in this organisation there are seven countries in which Pakistan is not present.
    i.e. India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Shri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar.
    Recently our PM said we see more energy, mindset and possibilities with BIMSTEC.
    and BIMSTEC have 14 main sectors along with economic cooperation among south Asian and Southeast Asian countries along the coast of the Bay of Bengal.

  6. BRICS stands for 5-major emerging national economies: Brazil,Russia,China,India and South Africa,Headquatered at Shanghai,China. Initially the group was referred as “BRIC” before South Africa joined in 2010. The BRICS in known for it’s significant role in regional affairs.These countries are expected to dominate the raw material supply in future due to their low production cost and cheap labor.In 20th century the “BRIC” countries contributed 11% to the Global Gross Domestic Product whereas this number rose to around 30% by the end of 2014. Brazil hosted the 11th summit in Nov’19 and the grouping decided to open a regional office of New Development Bank in India, which will thus help in financing the projects in the state, Terrorism was also one of the priority areas where the group decided to contribute 5-sub working groups each focusing on different matters related to terrorism.

    BRICS is a group of five major countries i.e.brazil,russia,india,china,south africa representing three continents of the world .they are also called 5Rs because of their currency starts with alphabet R.
    Formed in 2006,first meeting held at 2009 and till then it was called BRIC,in 2010 south africa joined it and it became BRICS.
    Meeting is held once every year with an aim to increase globalisation,cooperation,trade,economy and to look the ongoing global challenge and to decrease the USA dominance in the UN,WTO,IMF and other international organisations.in 2014 it also formed a NBD(new development bank) at shanghai to benefit all member countries and with the help of NBD,BRICS countries have completed more than 45 projects in 5 years .it also has CRA(contingency reserve arrangement) of 100 bn doller to help BRICS countries in case of crises.BRICS have benefitted india and china and both are countinously growing at a rapid pace at different sectors,on the same hand it has also helped Brazil,russia and south africa to recover from global recession of 2008. BRICS has helped india and china to get more closer to each other and result are in front of us.also the current crises of coronavirus is also a great time for these BRICS nation to stand together and show their dominance to the world.

  9. G20 or Group 20 is an organisation which consists of the finance minister and the central bank governors of 19 countries and European Union. The countries which constitutes G20 are Argentina, Australia, China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, US, Canada, Britain, France, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Mexico. More than 80% of the world’s GDP is represented by the G20.
    It was established in 1999 after a series of international debt crisis and aims to provide a platform for world leaders to discuss on shared economic, political and health challenges. It is a expanded version of G7. They meet annually usually hosted by the country holding the rotating presidency which is supposed to happen in Riyadh this year.
