DIKSHA Portal – National Digital Infrastructure

DIKSHA has its full structure as a Digital Infrastructure for School Education, which is a drive of the National Council of Educational Research and Training under the Ministry of Education. It’s anything but a stage for school training and was created dependent on the centre standards of open engineering, open access, open authorizing variety, decision, and self-rule.

DIKSHA was launched by the honourable Vice President of India on 5th September 2017 and has been adopted by 35 states/UTs along with CBSE and NCERT and many learners and teachers. It as of now upholds 18+ dialects and the different educational programs of NCERT, CBSE, and SCERTs across India. It will help with creating school training, establishment programs for taking in and support students from underserved and in an unexpected way abled networks and educators.

 

It will fill in as National Digital Infrastructure for instructors and understudies. As many teachers are creating and using innovative technology-based solutions in their classrooms, it will enable them to accelerate and amplify solutions in the realm of teacher education. An will also aid educators to learn and train themselves moreover, they will be able to create training content, profile, in-class resources, assessments aid, announcement, and also connect with the teacher community.

Moreover, in the context of a going pandemic due to the COVID – 19 virus, DIKSHA has made it possible for all states/UTs to enable learning at home through innovative programs.

There are various features of this application;

  1. QR Code – Teachers and Students can access it after scanning the QR code provided in their textbooks.
  2. Language – It is accessible in different languages. One can choose any language depending on their comfort and understanding.
  3. Revise lessons anytime that have been taught in class.
  4. Practice solving problems and get feedback from the teacher.
  5. Allows conducting digital assessments to check students’ understanding of a topic.
