One of the most important documents in the Service Selection Board, SSB is the PIQ, or the Personal Information Questionnaire. It is also known as DIPR Questionnaire No. 107 – A (Revised). The reason why we’re calling it to be the most important document is because it has the potential to make or break things for you.
Once you fill in your PIQ, this document becomes a documented proof of history. Whatever you mention there is supposed to be a reflection of what you have done so far in your life. The interviewer, or other selectors at the Service Selection Board, will always refer to your PIQ in case they will have some doubts or confusion.
Thus, it becomes important that you fill this PIQ truthfully, honestly, and in the simplest language. It can be used to your advantage since it allows you to think and fill the details. Take a printout of the PIQ right-away and begin working on it. Fill it now and leave it for a few days. Then revisit it a couple of days later and you will want to make a lot of changes to it. Fill another PIQ with the new details and put that aside as well. Again revisit your PIQ a couple of days later. Now compare both the PIQs that you have, and keep a blank copy of the PIQ with yourself. It is only then that you will be able to fill it in a comprehensive manner.
Hence go ahead and feel free to download the PIQ form. The following is the link for the same.
