Presented for- contribution to social, economic and public transform through non-violence
Jury – Prime Minister of India, Leader of opposition of LokSabha, Chief Justice of India, Speaker of LokSabha and Eminent individual
1st recipient- Julius Nyerere from Tanzania in 1995
Last recipient (uptil now) – Yohei Sasakawa from Japan in 2018
This was not awarded to anyone in between the years 2006 to 2012

Nice one. One question though why wasnt it awarded to anyone btw 2006-2012??
Because there was no proposal which was worth getting the recognition with the prize
