Give yourself a ‘Role model’

“Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it in the beginning.”
– Mahatma Gandhi

Once sitting in a room, in front of mirror, I started staring at it meanwhile my thoughts propelled to the parallel world and suddenly my mind started asking questions from me. Some of which are “How I am doing things? What are the efforts I am putting to achieve my goals?” and many more. One question in this took my interest to zenith and made me to think for a while. The question was “What am I in search of?” As this question came I became clueless and I started analysing myself. Many answers came among which some were like “I am in search of my better half” but then a serious thought strike my mind and which is best suited answer for this “I seek my better version. The person I was yesterday, the mistakes I did yesterday, I do not follow them in coming time is what am in search of.”

This answer gave me satisfaction for a bit but then soon this turned out to be another curiosity for me “What these posters in my room are doing?” Whom I think as my role models. This again made me clueless and now the thoughts urged me to think more. “Who is a role model?” I started thinking. “The person in whom you can see yourself, you by looking at that person feels like this is me and I can replace that person to every extent is the real Role Model for you.”

With this incident I came to a conclusion, today the youth gets confused in choosing the role model. The person whose thoughts and work influence you can be your idol but the person in whom you can see the next you is your perfect role model. And the best role model for us can be we ourselves what we are in past, learn from the past, the mistakes we did and to eliminate them in coming future.
