Medical Test
Candidates will be medically tested for their vision, ear, neck, teeth and skin diseases.
Interview/Personality Test
Candidates, who qualify for the medical test, will be called for the interview. They are advised to dress up formally on the day of the interview and stay cool and composed.

Paper-I – General Ability and Intelligence
Questions are designed to test candidates in the following areas:

History of India
Economic, Social, and Political aspects of Indian Histroy. Freedom Movements and Growth of Nationalism.
Indian and World Geography
Economic, physical, and social aspects of geography for India and the World.
Paper-II – General Studies, Essay and Comprehension
- Part A – Essay questions on topics from Indian history, freedom struggle, polity, geography, economy, knowledge of human rights, etc.
- Part B – Comprehension, precis writing, language skills, and simple grammar.
UPSC CAPF AC Exam 2021 Eligibility
Candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria in order to be fit for the post of Assistant Commandant:
- Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.
- Sex: Both male and female candidates are eligible for this post in BSF, SSB, CISF and CRPF.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from any recognized college or university.
PS: Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Commission’s examination but have not been informed of the results as also the candidates who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination in the year 2021 will also be eligible for admission to the examination. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite examination along with the Detailed Application Form which will be required to be submitted online by the candidates who after qualifying on the result of the written part of the examination are also declared qualified in the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Such proof of passing the requisite examination should be dated earlier than the due date (closing date) of Detailed Application Form of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2021.

UPSC CAPF AC Exam 2021 Application Process
The application process for the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant exam has started on 15th April 2021. Candidates were required to fill the form latest by 5th May 2021. Applications for the CAPF AC exam are only accepted through online mode. Candidates must follow the steps provided here to fill the application form:
- Go to the official website.
- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ button on the home-page.
- Click on the ‘Online Application for various examinations’ link.
- Again click on the link for various examinations
- Start with part-I of the registration process.
- Click the link in front of the CAPF exam.
- The Application Process comprises two parts – Part I and Part II.
- Complete both parts as required for the registration process.
- Make sure to pay the application fee before the last date. The application fee is ₹ 200 for Unreserved / OBC / EWS category candidates. SC/ST and female candidates are exempted from fee payment/
- Once the application fee is submitted successfully, take a print of the confirmation page.

Application Fee –
All candidates except Female/ SC/ ST are required to pay ₹ 200 (Two hundred) as application fee. Female candidates and those belonging to SC/ ST categories are exempted from fee payment. Candidates must note that the CAPF AC exam fee is non-refundable.
Mode of Fee Payment – The application fee can be paid in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using SBI Internet Banking or using Master/ Visa/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card. Those who opt to ‘Pay by Cash’ must generate the Pay-in-slip during the second part of registration and pay at the branch on the next day.
Application fee must be paid only through the prescribed mode. Fees paid via any other mode will not be accepted. And, applications submitted without fee will be rejected.

“Reservation will be given effect to as per policy of the Govt. 10% of the vacancies are earmarked for exservicemen,” as per official notification. It further states, “In case the vacancy(ies) reserved for Ex-servicemen remain unfilled due to nonavailability of eligible or qualified candidates, the same shall be filled by candidates from nonex-servicemen category.”

UPSC CAPF AC Admit Card 2021
The UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Admit Cards will be released to candidates online at upsc.gov.in. These shall be released three weeks prior to the written examination. They will be able to download it from the official website by considering the following steps:
- Go to the official website – upsc.gov.in.
- Look for the link ‘UPSC CAPF AC Admit Card 2021’ and click on it.
- A new page will appear on the screen.
- Read the instructions carefully.

UPSC CAPF Admit Card – Written Exam
UPSC issues the CAPF admit card for each phase of the exam via separate form. Each time the candidates need to download the admit card from the official website. The CAPF admit card for the written exam is issued three weeks before the exam date. The CAPF exam centres are situated across the nation and the candidates need to appear in the exam in one of these exam centres.
UPSC CAPF Admit Card –Physical Standard Test
The UPSC conducts the written exam and the qualified candidates are called for the physical standard test/ Medical examination. Each year this physical test is conducted by CRPF. The admission card for the physical and medical test is issued by CRPF. It conducts the exam on behalf of the Ministry of Home.
CAPF admit card – Personality Test
UPSC issues the CAPF admit card for the personality test to the candidates who qualify the physical and medical test conducted by CRPF. The UPSC CAPF personality test is conducted in the UPSC Office, New Delhi.
Selection Process 2021
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by candidates in the written examination and Interview/ Personality Test. The written test will be of 450 marks and the interview of 150 marks. Thus, the final selection will depend on the addition of marks obtained by candidates during these two phases of the exam.
